Who is eligible to join the British Orthodontic Society

Any appropriately qualified dental professional interested in orthodontics may join the BOS. There are membership categories to cater for specialists, non-specialists, trainees and overseas members.

Society Membership

As a BOS member, you have access to a whole range of benefits that are tailored to your specific membership category. BOS membership gives you access to the right support at every stage of your career. More importantly, you’ll become part of a wide network of experts in the field of orthodontics. Many of our members have been with us throughout their entire career.

The BOS is a member of the European Federation of Specialist Orthodontic Associations (EFOSA), of the European Federation of Orthodontists (FEO) and a Founder member of the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO).

Associate Membership is available to non-dentists and dentists not eligible for Group membership.

International Membership is offered for dentists working outside the UK.

Full membership is available to all who qualify as members of one or more of the following five Groups of the British Orthodontic Society:
