I have worked within the Community Dental Service part-time since qualification and also within Orthodontic Specialist practice. The majority of patients I treat within my current Community post are children with special needs and the treatment is undertaken within the primary care setting. I have represented the Community Group on several committees and am also a member of my Local Dental Committee.
I trained at King's College, London and did various hospital jobs in paediatric dentistry and oral surgery before training as an orthodontist at the Eastman Dental Hospital. Since qualifying I have worked in Oxford for the community service at the John Radcliffe Hospital. In November 2000 I began a "proper" community clinic in Banbury, where many of my patients are special needs. I spend the rest of my spare time at the theatre, in my garden (weather permitting), reading books, running marathons (I have done four) and running a children's club at my church as well as being fully involved in church activities.
