Professor Susan Cunningham

 I graduated from Leeds University and undertook my orthodontic training at the Eastman Dental Institute. I am now Professor of Orthodontics/Honorary Consultant at UCL Eastman Dental Institute and I am Programme Director of the postgraduate orthodontic programme, one of the largest postgraduate programmes in Europe. I am involved in all aspects of postgraduate orthodontic education in the UK and Europe; I have served on the British Orthodontic Society Council/Board of Trustees twice, currently as Trustee for Education. I was also SAC Chair for Orthodontics from 2011 to 2014

Educated at Edinburgh University, I completed orthodontic training at Kingston Hospital, the Royal Dental Hospital and the Eastman Dental Hospital before becoming appointed a consultant orthodontist at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust from 1982-2012. In 2012, I was appointed consultant orthodontist at Newcastle Dental Hospital.

Mr Sadaf Khan

Sadaf Khan completed his undergraduate dental training at Guys and St Thomas's Hospitals, London graduating with honours as well as intercalating a BSc degree with first class honours. After 4 years of general professional training he went on to orthodontic postgraduate training at GKT, based at Kings College and St George's Hospitals, London. He was awarded his MOrth from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and then went on to FTTA training at the Eastman Dental Hospital and the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford. In 2011 he was appointed Consultant Orthodontist at the Eastman Dental Hospital London and the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. He is a member of the Education Committee of the British Orthodontic Society and has been a past chair of the Training Grades Group as well as a training grades representative on the ISFE Examination Board.

Dr Sally Walker

 I undertook my undergraduate training in Newcastle and my orthodontic specialty training in Newcastle and Middlesbrough. Following inclusion on the specialist list in orthodontics, I completed my post-CCST training in Sheffield and Mexborough. I was appointed as Consultant Orthodontist at the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle in 2010, and since then have developed a strong interest in teaching and training. I am responsible for teaching orthodontics to undergraduate dental students at UCLan Dental School and also teach postgraduate trainees in orthodontics at all levels. I am involved in organising and delivering courses to local dental practitioners. In 2013 I obtained a Masters degree in Clinical Education from Newcastle University.

Dr Susan Power

I have been a Consultant Orthodontist at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital since 2000. Prior to that I worked at the North Hampshire Hospital, Basingstoke. I work part time in the hospital and part time in “ Only Orthodontics”, Specialist practice in Bournemouth. I have an interest in teaching and training. In the hospital I am educational supervisor for the Senior Specialist Registrar. I am involved in running courses for local General Dental Practitioners, and Dental nurses. I have taught Undergraduate and Postgraduate students at Guys hospital and the Royal London Hospital. I have been an examiner for the Intercollegiate MOrth, and the Orthodontic therapy examination of the RCS England. I am currently an examiner for the Diploma in General Dental Practice Orthodontics and am chair of the examinations board for this examination My time outside of work is spent with children, horses, dogs and chickens.

Dr David Waring

I qualified in Dentistry at the University of Leeds in 1995 and undertook VT in general practice before working in Australia with the Flying Doctor Service.  Following SHO posts in Oral & Maxillofacial surgery, and gaining the MFDS RCS (England) I was accepted on the SpR training programme in Orthodontics at Liverpool University.

After attaining the M.Orth at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2003 and M.Dent.Sci at the University of Liverpool, I was placed on the Orthodontic Specialist list. I began my F.T.T.A. training at Liverpool and passed the ISFE (FDS RCS Eng) in October 2005.  I have been a Consultant Orthodontist since May 2005. I am currently Clinical Lead in Orthodontics at the University of Manchester Dental Hospital. I examine for the Membership in Orthodontics examination at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and have published and lectured nationally and internationally.

 Specialist Practitioner in Witney, Oxfordshire, LDC, LOC member and examiner at RCS Eng for orthodontic therapists and for DipOrth.  Interested in the evidence base for orthodontics and simplified treatment mechanics.  Loves hill walking, karate, film and books amongst other things.
